Become a Volunteer for the ICC Champions Trophy 2013

Were you inspired by the 2012 Gamesmakers and fancy enhancing your CV and employment opportunities by volunteering at a Global sporting event? Well you can now become a ‘Cricketeer’ and help deliver the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 at Edgbaston.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2013 features the top eight one day international cricket sides in the world and comes to England and Wales over 18 days in June, with Edgbaston one of three host venues alongside The Oval (London) and The Cardiff Wales Stadium.

Volunteers are at the heart of successful events and the 50-overs-a-side ICC Champions Trophy is seeking up to 900 Cricketeers nationally to support the tournament across the three venues in delivering a tournament to remember.

The Cricketeers will be the face of the tournament, meeting and greeting the spectators as they arrive into the cities / stadia’s. Other areas that you can be involved in are Ground Staff, Media Operations, Drivers, Ticketing, Event Activation, Hospitality to Accreditation. Not all roles will be high profile, or close to the cricket, but all are vitally important in supporting the Champions Trophy 2013.

Becoming a Cricketeer will give you the opportunity to learn new skills and gain experience at a world class tournament to help enhance your CV and employability.  You will be required to be committed, flexible; team focused and have a huge welcoming smile. During your volunteering role we can assure you that you will have an enjoyable time.
