Chris Woakes in line for Test debut
Warwickshire player Chris Woakes has been selected for the Englands 15 man squad for the three test series in New Zealand. In total England will play three T20’s, three one day internationals and three tests.
This will be Chris’s Test debut, the 23 year old swing bowling allrounder has taken 254 first-class wickets at an average of 25, and has also scored more than 2,600 runs at an average of 38.
Chris will be replacing Tim Bresnan who will be returning home to consult specialists regarding an elbow injury. Bresnan’s availability for the rest of the winter will be determined following medical advice.
