Yorkshire v Warwickshire, CB40
Warwickshire defeated Yorkshire by 55 runs (D/L) at Scarborough to progress to the semi-final stages and an away tie against Lancashire at Old Trafford.
William Porterfield and Varun Chopra gave the Bears a solid start posting 37, until Chopra edged an intended drive at Steven Patterson and was caught behind by Dan Hodgson. Soon afterwards Warwickshire lost a second wicket when skipper Jim Troughton gave a return catch to off-spinner Joe Root.
Rain caused a brief interruption, causing a reduction in the overs, but, on the resumption, Warwickshire took full advantage of some wayward bowling before Porterfield fell to Adil Rashid leaving Warwickshire on 83 for three.
Tim Ambrose and Darren Maddy quickly piled on 89 for the fourth wicket in 10 overs before Maddy was caught on the long-on boundary by Root off Patterson for 44.
Ambrose however, continued to dominate until the close of the innings making 87 from just 64 deliveries.
Neil Carter ensured that Yorkshire made a dreadful start to their reply, losing Adam Lyth lbw to the fourth ball of the innings and Root in his next over before having Alex Lees caught by Troughton.
Ballance, skippering Yorkshire made a half-century while debutant Jack Leaning was bowled by Best and Rashid 0 fell lbw to Piolet.
Patterson and Hannon-Dalby hit out bravely in near darkness until Patterson was out with 3.5 overs remaining.
